Nonprofits, media, and businesses cook up delectable partnerships that leverage resources to raise awareness and do good for the community

Discover the behind-the-scene workings of local media campaigns that foster win-win partnerships for nonprofits and state agencies, the media, and businesses. KHNL News 8 Vice President and General Manager John Fink and KITV Vice President of Sales Bill Gaeth share their experience with successful community partnerships. Fink, who has served over 20 years with KHNL/KFVE, will discuss the thriving Toys for Tots partnership. Gaeth, who has more than 20 years of experience at KITV, will talk about the station’s many community partnerships, including the UH Centennial campaign, which aimed to raise $250 million.

John Fink is the Vice President and General Manager of KHNL and is a long-time executive in the Honolulu media industry. He has served on the boards of numerous organizations and is currently a member of the Honolulu County Sports Commission and the Governor’s Comprehensive Communications Review Committee.

Bill Gaeth is the Vice President of Sales for KITV, Honolulu’s ABC television affiliate. He has served in executive capacities with other Honolulu media outlets, has been a long-time, active, resident of Honolulu, and is currently on the boards of the Hawaii Association of Broadcasters and the Sales and Marketing Executives Honolulu.
