Events are us – and it really IS show biz! As public relations practitioners we all have to promote events – from serious company meetings to fund raising activities to entertainment productions! Two top entertainment PR specialists talk about promoting bigger-than-life – and ordinary – events and faces. About Mona K. Wood:
Mona K. Wood is the founder and president of IKAIKA Communications and has become well-known for her specialty in entertainment publicity - from working with local music artists to national and international artists, and television shows and movie projects that film in Hawai‘i and around the Pacific Rim to the now infamous Dog the Bounty Hunter. Her current clients have included soccer and other high profile athletics events, and she has also worked with such non-celebrity clients as Senor Frogs, Niketown and Sunset on the Beach, among others.
About Mei Jeanne Wagner:
Mei Jeanne Wagner, vice president at Starr Seigle Communications, scored a coup with promotion of The Lion King last year. This, along with her many other entertainment and event campaigns will give us all insight on how to make our own events and public faces shine – and draw attendees – and attention!
