As a senior account supervisor at McNeil Wilson, Rebecca specializes in travel marketing, media relations, events, and promotions. She is currently responsible for developing and executing public relations activities for the Hawaii Visitors and Convention Bureau (HVCB), the state’s marketing agency for North America, Meet Hawaii, Travaasa Hana (formerly Hotel Hana-Maui), and the Hawaii Food & Wine Festival.
She has an excellent understanding of the professional needs of media, invaluable national and local media contacts, and strong relationships within the visitor industry. She has placed clients in national media outlets such as The New York Times, Los Angeles Times, Shape Magazine, Sunset Magazine, Today Show, Food Network, Travel Channel, Daily Candy, and many others. In 2013, she helped HVCB earn Platinum at the HSMAI Awards for a Travel+Leisure placement on Hawaii's culinary evolution.
Prior to joining McNeil Wilson, Rebecca worked at Stryker Weiner & Yokota in both travel marketing and corporate communications, managing the PR initiatives for clients such as Oahu Visitors Bureau, Ala Moana Center, Starwood Hotels & Resorts Hawaii, Sheraton Hotels & Resorts Waikiki, Blue Planet Foundation, and Castle & Cooke Hawaii. Before that, she worked in media relations at LA INC. The Convention and Visitors Bureau and as an editorial assistant at Los Angeles Times.
She has been actively involved on the PRSA Hawaii board since 2006. She is the recipient of PRSA Hawaii’s 2007 Hokupaa Young PR Professional of the Year award and has been awarded numerous PRSA Koa Anvil and Hammer awards for outstanding work done on behalf of her clients.
Rebecca is a graduate of University of Southern California, earning a B.A. in communication with a minor in fine art. She has also served on the board of the Susan G.
