Army Capt. Jamie Dobson received her commission as a second lieutenant in May 2003,after graduating from the University of Georgia with a master's degree in mass communication. She has worked as an Army Public Affairs Officer since October 2009.Currently, Jamie serves as the Director of Media Relations for the Joint POW/MIA Accounting Command located on Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam in Honolulu, Hawaii. The mission of JPAC is to conduct worldwide search, recovery and laboratory operations to account for missing Americans from the nation's past conflicts. Prior to moving to Hawaii, Jamie served in Baghdad, Iraq as the lead Public Affairs Officer and advisor for the United States Forces-Iraq spokesman. She has also worked in the Army's strategic communications field as a Psychological Affairs Officer and prior to joining the Army, she worked as a print sports journalist. Jamie is married to husband Tony Dimmick and they live in Ewa Beach.
